What Is DDScore?
DDScore is a first-pass diligence service for private companies. It cross-checks a company's materials against each other and against current external research, including the competitive landscape, and analyzes the business across 12 dimensions, from the business idea and team to financials and exit. The report includes scores, written reasoning, and probability-based outcome scenarios, and the overall DDScore, from 0 to 100, reflects investment risk and the strength of the supporting evidence in the context of the company's stage.
Who Is DDScore For?
DDScore serves three groups. Founders and CEOs use it to strengthen their business and fundraising materials, including founders in accelerator and incubator programs. Investors, including angel investors, venture capital funds, family offices, and corporate venture and M&A teams, use it to assess opportunities. Funders and support programs, including public funders, lenders, development finance institutions, banks, accelerators, incubators, and business advisers, use it to assess companies and focus their support.
How Is DDScore Different?
DDScore forms its own view of the case using current external information and measures it against a structured probability model. The model is built from a meta-analysis of hundreds of academic studies on company success across markets and industries and from AI models trained on tens of thousands of startup stories of how companies succeed or fail as they grow in changing markets. It shows how the findings interact, including the uncertainty and dependencies between business assumptions. The result is a consistent first-pass diligence report that reflects the probability of success.
Which Company Stages Is DDScore Designed For?
DDScore is designed for private companies at every stage of their life cycle: from a business still being planned, through pre-seed, seed, Series A, and growth, to mature companies preparing for a stock market listing. The stage benchmark compares each company with others at the same stage.
What Happens to My Materials After the Analysis?
Uploaded files are deleted when the report is generated, and the report is deleted within 24 hours, even if you do not download it. Materials are not used to train AI models. DDScore runs its own servers and models in Finland, and some analysis steps use third-party AI services in the United States under EU-approved transfer safeguards. Reports are kept longer only if you choose to create a share link for a report or send us documents with a support request.
